The 4 Position XY coordinates database of the Netherlands contains the coordinates belonging to the 4 Position postcode. The database makes it possible to calculate distances in a straight line between 4 Position postcode areas. This makes the database ideal for calculating the nearest dealer or subsidiary using the postal code. P.O. Boxes do not have a coordinate.

The 4 Position XY coordinates database contains two different coordinate systems, namely:

• RD-scheme (Rijks Driehoeksmeting)

The coordinates are the straight line distances in metres from a point in Paris, France.

• Latitude-Longitude (LatLon)

De Lat-Lon database contains the Latitude Longitude coordinates. If you are going to use the database with other XY databases of other countries or for use with Google Earth then the Lat-Lon database is the obvious choice. However calculating distances is more complicated.

The database is available as a single purchase, or as a subscription. Prices are excluding VAT. With a subscription you will receive updates twice a year.

The extended table contains the coordinates of the city. This means that with each 4 position postal code the coordinates of the city are added. This can be useful for when people do not know their postcode, but do know the name of the city. However, using these city coordinates does mean less accuracy.
